Scott City, KS – Following a jury trial in April 2023, Jeremey David Brown was convicted of three off-grid sex crimes against multiple children, each offense carrying a 25-to-life prison sentence. On September 12, 2023, he was sentenced to two consecutive life sentences, with a mandatory minimum of 50 years in prison. The evidence revealed that Brown had raped and molested the children between 2012 and 2018. Special Counsel for the State of Kansas, Adam Y. Zentner, prosecuted the case on behalf of the Scott County Attorney’s Office. The investigating agencies were the Scott County Sheriff’s Office, Scott City Police Department, and the Kansas Bureau of Investigation.
