Troy, KS – A jury convicted former sheriff’s deputy Nathaniel Keller on multiple sex crimes against a child. Keller committed these crimes in 2017 while he was off duty. Evidence showed that Keller sometimes used alcohol he seized from underage drinking parties to intoxicate the victim before molesting her, and used his position as a law enforcement officer to coerce the victim into remaining silent. Keller is facing a lengthy prison sentence and must register as a sex offender. Special Counsel for the State of Kansas, Adam Y. Zentner, and Doniphan County Attorney, Charles Baskins, prosecuted the case. The case was investigated by the Kansas Bureau of Investigation.
